David joined AV Browne in 2013 as a project manager, but his entrepreneurial attitude and strategic approach, soon saw him move to the position of Account Director, and now, Group Digital Strategist.
David’s career path has been anything but linear. Whilst at University completing a degree in Biomedical Science, he set up a digital production company and developed an acclaimed app – Distress Signal. He joined AV Browne in 2013 as a project manager, but his entrepreneurial attitude and strategic approach, soon saw him move to the position of Account Director on some of our major client brands with a public sector and B2B focus including; Invest Northern Ireland, Ulster Bank, PSNI, Hughes Insurance and most recently Insurance Office of America, managing large, complex integrated design and brand campaigns right through to small, niche audience online projects.
A passionate proponent of digital, David has many qualifications which have paved his career to becoming Group Digital Strategist, including a Google Squared Online Qualification in Digital Marketing, the full suite of Google Analytics certifications and he is currently undertaking a ‘Leading Teams In The Digital Age’ course at Stockholm’s renowned Hyper Island.
David’s thirst for knowledge and analytical mind can sift quickly through research, data and market knowledge to pull out a key creative/ digital insight, and has comprehensive understanding of internal and external clients and their needs. If you have ever worked with him you’ll know he’s an engaging relationship builder, using his initiative, thinking laterally – but basing strategy and direction only on fact.
Central to the development brands and campaigns, David is responsible for helping anchor them in a dynamic digital environment. He works with both agency and client teams to help identify ‘what’s next?’ as well as ‘what now?’ with a focus on maximizing brand engagement and brand development in the online environment.
On the rare occasion he’s not trying to find out all the answers at work, you’ll find him walking his girlfriend’s daschund around County Down, eating at Edo, or bringing his not-so-trusty Golf to the garage… again.
