Next in our series profiling some of our team is creative lead in our Dublin office, Bren Byrne.
For the last 18 years, Bren Byrne has combined the roles of designer, curator, creative director and festival founder, and now leads the creative output of our Republic of Ireland office, McCann Dublin.
In his role as Creative Partner, he is responsible for our creative output across all platforms, as well as taking a leading role in the vision and creative culture within the agency.
Bren joined our team in 2018 as Chief Creative Strategist and since then he has driven national campaigns from concept to production for agency clients such as Zurich, Norwegian Air, Santa Rita and Beck’s Beer, as well as internal programmes for Dublin City Council and others.
A truly rounded and inspirational creative leader (he’s blushing now) Bren has led campaigns, creative strategy and experiential activations both locally and globally for brands in Tech, Finance, Beverages and Telecoms, including IBM, Facebook, AIB, Jameson, Heineken, Microsoft Ireland, Three, Guinness, and SONY.
Long imbued with entrepreneurial spirit himself, Bren is well known for being the Creative Director of international creative festival OFFSET which he co-founded in 2009. OFFSET has developed into one of the world’s most inspirational, educational and vocational festivals for the design and creative industries. Now a global brand representing the best of Irish design, Bren continues to take the lead at OFFSET. He works with Failte Ireland, Dublin City Council, Creative Ireland and Tourism Ireland to grow it into a mainstay on the international conference circuit attracting 2,500 attendees each year, including approximately 800 international visitors per year.
Bren passionately believes in the impactful change that creativity can have on cultural, social and economic enterprise, truly connecting and engaging audiences to brands with challenging work with both substance and style.
