National Trust Northern Ireland Autumn Leaves
National Trust Northern Ireland wanted to raise awareness of their work as a conservation charity looking after special places, for ever, for everyone.
We've worked with the National Trust in Northern Ireland for many years, and one of their aims has been to raise awareness of their work as a conservation charity looking after special places, for ever, for everyone. Not only did the charity want to be known as an organisation that makes a difference, but crucially, one that can also educate and help others to make a difference for this important cause.
With this campaign, we wanted to communicate how the public had an integral part to play in helping the National Trust in their conservation efforts.
It is a simple, but virtuous circle. When the public visit National Trust spaces and places they help them to conserve historic buildings, beaches and more, so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
Our brief was to inspire visitation to National Trust properties during the Autumn season, to admire the variety of colours, crunch through leaves or take in the cold, crisp air on a long walk. What better way to feature that reality than showcasing the stunning photography of Mount Stewart, Castle Ward & Rowallane Garden.
What's more, we didn't just depict this experience; we brought the beauty of Autumn to Belfast. We set up an 'Autumn Leaf Pod' outside City Hall, filled with heaps of colourful and crunchy leaves from National Trust properties right across Northern Ireland. It gave children (and adults) an opportunity to kick and throw leaves, and have some fun! Teaming with Cool FM, we broadcast live from City Hall, bringing our conservation message to the nation, whilst on the ground; National Trust Rangers were on-hand to answer questions from locals and tourists alike.
The best thing about National Trust places and spaces is that they are open all year round and are waiting to be discovered. With a myriad of events taking place over Christmas and New Year, there's never been a better time to discover National Trust Northern Ireland – visit nationaltrust.org.uk/ni for more.
